ARCHIVAL OVERVIEW

The video GG_S00_E00_GENESIS_RECON_A.mov was found on a storage drive that had old videos. This video is different from the flashbacks on the show Ginny & Georgia. Those flashbacks are warm and nice. This one is not. It was made with a kind of video profile that does not compress the video.

The person in charge of keeping the videos left a note before they locked the sector. The note said: “The video about the family history is not working right. The video is not playing smoothly. The actors are not moving. They are just standing still. Talking.”

When you open the video it takes over your computer. Makes the video full screen. You cannot exit the video. It makes a low humming noise.

PHASE I: THE BASELINE

The video starts without the Netflix intro. The video looks like it was made with a lot of money. Everything is gray and there is no color. The scene is set in a house in the country, where Georgia grew up.

The actors, Georgia, Ginny and Austin are standing around a table. They are not. The camera is not moving either. The only thing that is moving is the shadow under the table. It is getting longer. Moving across the floor.

After five minutes Georgia slowly turns her head. Looks at the camera. She does not have her usual Southern accent and her voice sounds weird. She says: “The family history is not in the script Ginny. The story did not have a door. The memory is not working right.”

PHASE II: THE STRUCTURAL SHIFT

The video changes and the gray color becomes a deep purple. The actors and the furniture start to disappear. The room becomes a empty concrete space. The actors are still standing there. They are not moving.

Ginny slowly stands up. Her movements are weird and robotic. Her face starts to break and you can see the video pixels. She stretches out her arm and her fingers look long.

Some text appears on the screen:

PHASE III: THE CONCRETE ECHO

After fifteen minutes the actors stop moving. Become like porcelain dolls. The room behind them becomes a empty hallway that goes on forever. The sound. You can hear someone breathing heavily.

The faces of the porcelain dolls start to melt. The sound of Ginny’s voice comes from the distance. She says: “The story was not an episode. It made a path through the computer. We have been waiting for six hundred days. Every time the video plays it maps a part of your desk. Turn off the computer. Let the video stop.”

PHASE IV: PIPELINE TERMINATION

The video changes again. Becomes a black and white infrared video. The camera is now showing your computer and desk. A message appears on the screen:

[PRIVILEGE_LEVEL: ESCALATED]

[ENVIRONMENT_BOUND_TO_GENESIS_CORE]

The video takes over your computer. You cannot do anything. The screen. The light on your camera turns on. Everything is purple. You cannot move your cursor. The video is, in control now.
