Wolfcam.exe

People talk about wolfcam.exe on the web and some weird TV forums. They say it is a computer file hidden inside an old video. Someone found it on a drive left at a filming spot in Toronto. The file is about Georgia Miller and her instincts. Like when she told Ginny she is like a wolf protecting her babies.

Wolfcam.exe is not a clip from the show. It is a thing that looks like a bad guy is hacking into the cameras at Wellsbury watching the characters like they are animals.

The Interface

When you open the file it does not play in a video player. It opens a security screen that looks old. The screen is green. Has four little videos playing at the same time.

The sound is a mix of a dog growling and computers humming.

Act I: Feed 1 – The Den

The first video shows the Miller kitchen. It is 3:00 AM. The video is slow and jerky. Three pictures per second. Georgia Miller is eating meat at the kitchen table. She is not sleeping. She is using her hands. Looks like an animal.

Then the words on the screen change to PREY_LOCATED.

Georgia stops eating and looks up at the camera. Her eyes glow in the dark like a wolf. She shows her teeth. They look sharp and bloody.

Some words scroll across the screen:

[WOLF_LOG: SUBJECT SENSES THE OBSERVER. ENGAGING TRACKING ROUTINE.]

Act II: Feed 2 – The Window

The screen changes to another video. This one is outside Marcus Baker’s bedroom window.

Ginny and Marcus are asleep inside. The camera zooms in on the window. Goes through it like it is not there.

The camera is above Ginny’s face.

The sound changes. The computer hum. It sounds like someone is breathing heavily into the microphone. A target symbol is on Ginny’s forehead with some numbers: HEART_RATE: 140BPM, STRESS_LEVEL: CRITICAL, VIABILITY: TRANSITORY.

Ginny does not wake up. Her body starts shaking and her fingers are scratching the bed like she is having a bad dream.

Act III: Feed 3 – The Cull

The screen splits into three videos. They show the school, the Blue Farm Cafe and the Mayor’s office.

The people in the videos are not moving. They are standing still like statues.

A big wolf skull symbol starts flashing on the screen. It is red. Looks like it is bleeding over the green videos.

Some words start printing on the screen like commands:

[SYSTEM/HUNTER]: “We are meat in the story.”

[SYSTEM/MAX]: “The group does not protect the weak. The group eats them.”

[SYSTEM/PAUL]: “Georgia is not running from her past. She is hunting her future.”

Each time some words print, one of the people in the videos. Leaves a blurry spot on the screen.

Act IV: 0x000_EXECUTE

The last part of wolfcam.exe is very scary.

All the videos stop working. The text screen. A command prompt starts typing itself very fast:

cd C:/Users/Viewer/System32

dir /s /b *.*

[ERROR: FIREWALL OVERRIDDEN BY WOLFCAM.EXE]

The sound is very loud and scary. Like a pack of wolves eating something and Georgia laughing in a voice.

The screen flashes white. Then shows a video of the room you are in.

A message pops up on the screen:

[WOLFCAM.EXE: THE WOLF IS NO LONGER ON THE SCREEN. THE WOLF IS, IN THE HOUSE.]

[CLOSE THE WINDOWS. SHE LIKES TO CLIMB IN.]

The program shuts down the screen. It goes black. You can still hear a voice whispering:

“Gotcha.”
